Baylor College of Medicine Children’s Foundation Malawi (BCM-CFM) is a not-for-profit partnering with the Government of Malawi in the health sector. The mission is to improve of HIV-infected children and families through high quality, high impact, ethical, state-of-the care and treatment, training of health professionals, and clinical research Baylor-Malawi reputation for innovative, evidence-based HIV service delivery programming.
The Baylor-Tingathe program was designed in 2008 to respond to sub-optimal uptake of HIV services in Malawi. The program seeks to support Malawi in reaching the ambitious UNAIDS 90-90-90 goals by improving the identification of HIV-positive persons, timely treatment initiation, and long term engagement in care. The program is funded by USAID, and is operating in 4 districts in Malawi
Baylor-Malawi is seeking qualified candidates to fill the position of:
This is a one year full-time position with possible renewal based on performance, program requirement and donor funding, based in Mangochi or Balaka districts
Data Management
  • Implement current data capturing tools to manage data elements pertaining to various aspects of the program;
  • Enter raw or semi-processed data in the Program Databases;
  • Update and maintain program databases; may include communication with Houston database manager
  • Carry out data cleaning/validation as necessary to ensure high quality data;
  • Carry out regular monthly checks on program data management, through supervision visits and data assistant updates;
  • Understands how to use all program data management tools, and reasonable understanding of MOH reporting related to the program;
  • Maintains data entry requirements by following data program techniques and procedures
  • Verifies entered data by reviewing, correcting, deleting, or re-entering data: combining, courses if it is incomplete; purging files to eliminate duplication of data;
  • Verifies data is entered on time, and provides weekly updates to the M&E Officer.
  • Design M&E related SOPS under the supervision of the M&E Officer:
  • Participate in Semi-annual, supervisions and Data Quality Assurance exercises

Job purpose
The Finance Assistant is a person who has hands on experience in accounting including experience with accounting software (in particular QuickBooks). S/he should be aware of Tingathe Program mission and objectives and have a good understanding of BCM-CFM’s financial procedures and policies. S/he must be a person of integrity, organized, a self-starter capable of working with minimum supervision and deliver according to set deadlines.
Job Title : Administration Officer
Location : 1 positions available ( Balaka)
Reporting to : Senior Administrator
Position Description
The Administration Officer will be responsible for small scale procurement, fleet management, facility management, organizing travel/training logistics, and day-to-day office supervision.
Eligible candidates should have the following qualities:
  • Self-starter with excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to prioritize and work efficiently under pressure
  • Strict adherence to deadlines and ability to prioritize conflicting responsibilities
  • Strong interpersonal skills Integrity and trustworthiness.
