RESERVE BANK OF MALAWI
The Reserve Bank of Malawi is inviting applications for the under listed position tenable at its Head Office in Lilongwe.
Reporting to the Deputy Governor, Operations, the successful candidate will, among other duties, be responsible for:
Managing procurement of goods and services in the Bank’s three branches; Blantyre, Lilongwe and Mzuzu.
Coordinating Internal Procurement Committee (IPC) meetings
Managing the stores operations
Coordinating management of procurement and outsourced services contracts
Managing members of staff in the Procurement and Stores Division
The ideal candidate should satisfy the following:
Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree in Supply Chain Management.
Must be a Chartered Procurement Professional (MCIPS)
Must have between 7 and 10 years working experience in managing the procurement function/department at a managerial level in a large reputable organization (s).
Must have excellent understanding of the Procurement Act 2003 and ODPP Desk Guidelines on Procurement
Must have excellent leadership, analytical, computer and communication skills
Must have the ability to formulate procurement strategies and ways of ensuring value for money
Must have the ability to work with cross functional teams
Must be a security strategist and be able to build an effective team that is professional.
Must have high level of integrity, professionalism, ethical principles and confidentiality as the position entails handling of sensitive corporate and/ or personal information.
Must have a clean record and of high ethical value
