Blantyre Water Board is a government-owned institution established and reconstituted under the Waterworks Act of 1995 to supply potable water to people of Blantyre City and other surrounding areas. The Board is inviting applications from suitably qualified individuals to fill the position of Sales Supervisor (Non Established).
Applicants must have the following attributes:-
  • Must have Matawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) and a diploma in Accounting;
  • Minimum age of 25;
  • Must be patient, polite and hardworking;
  • Must be able to exercise own initiative and judgment;
  • Must have two years experience:
  • Must have wide knowledge of sales and marketing.
The successful applicant wilt be responsible for:
  1. Undertaking random checks to ensure accuracy of meter readings taken by Sates Agents in designated walk-routes;
  2. Making follow-ups on disconnected accounts that stay disconnected for a period of five days (5)
  3. Taking meter readings from large consumers once every fortnight or as directed;
  4. Producing monthly sates reports;
  5. Updating all newly piled connections in the walk-routes every month and ensuring Customers are billed;
  6. Working hand in hand service clerks to make sure customer queries are responded to within seven (7) days;
  7. Performing any other relevant and lawful duties as may be reasonably assigned by Billing Officer from time to time.
